Galantic & Co Ltd · Renovations
Full renovations and conversions
Whole-home refurbishments, structural alterations and layout changes, carried out as one joined-up build rather than a string of separate trades.
Renovations
One build, not a string of trades.
A renovation touches almost everything: structure, wiring, plumbing, heating, plaster, joinery and decoration. The order those trades work in, and how well they hand over to each other, decides how smoothly the job runs and how good the finish looks.
Galantic & Co Ltd manages renovations as a single project, from opening up walls and installing steelwork through to the final finishes.
- One team from groundwork to the final finish
- More than 25 years of construction experience
- London-wide, plus the surrounding areas

Good to know
Things to know before you start
General guidance for homes in England. Rules change and every property is different, so check your own position with your council or adviser.
Structural changes
Removing a load-bearing wall needs a structural engineer's calculations and building regulations approval.
Older homes
Opening up an older property can reveal things nobody could see at the survey stage. A sensible contingency in the budget avoids difficult decisions later.
Electrics and gas
Electrical work in homes must meet building regulations and be certified. Gas work must be carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers.
Living arrangements
On a full renovation it is often quicker, and easier on everyone, to move out for the heaviest phase. We can talk about how the work could be phased if you stay.
Questions
Frequently asked
Can you remove a load-bearing wall?
Yes. A structural engineer designs the support, usually a steel beam, and the work is approved and inspected under building regulations.
Do you handle the whole renovation?
Yes. We plan and carry out the work as one project, so you are not coordinating separate trades yourself.
How long will my renovation take?
It depends entirely on the scope. We set out the stages of the work when we send you the written outline and costs.
Can you work on period properties?
Yes. Tell us about the property and anything you want to keep, and we will talk through the approach.
