Galantic & Co Ltd · Kitchens & bathrooms
Kitchens & bathrooms
Well-planned rooms with the plumbing, electrics, tiling and joinery handled together, finished to a standard you will notice every day.
Kitchens & bathrooms
The rooms you use most.
Kitchens and bathrooms pack a lot of work into a small space: drainage, water, ventilation, electrics, waterproofing, tiling and joinery all have to fit together precisely.
We strip out, alter and rebuild the room, then fit and finish it, so the preparation underneath is as good as the surface you see.

Good to know
Things to know before you start
General guidance for homes in England. Rules change and every property is different, so check your own position with your council or adviser.
Waterproofing
Showers and wet rooms need a waterproofed (tanked) floor and walls behind the tiles. It is the part you cannot see and the part that matters most.
Ventilation
Building regulations require mechanical extraction in new kitchens and bathrooms where there is no adequate natural ventilation.
Electrical safety
Bathrooms have specific rules about where electrical fittings can go. New circuits must be certified.
Lead times
Kitchens, tiles and sanitaryware can take weeks to arrive. Choosing early keeps the job moving.
Questions
Frequently asked
Can you fit a kitchen I buy myself?
Tell us what you are buying and where from when you enquire, and we will talk through how we can help.
Can you move the plumbing to a new layout?
Usually, yes, though drainage falls and soil pipe positions set some limits. We check this at the site visit.
Do you build wet rooms?
Yes, with a waterproofed floor and walls and a properly falling floor to the drain.
How much does a new bathroom cost?
It depends on the size, the layout changes and the fittings you choose. We give you a written outline and costs after seeing the room.
